Cognitive Processing Therapy

In collaboration with the Center for Trauma Recovery (CTR) of University of Missouri-St. Louis, USA – CTRO organized a refresher training course on “Cognitive Processing Therapy” from May 27-28, 2024 at White Plate Restaurant in Phnom Penh. This trauma-focused intervention course was presented and trained by Prof. Dr. Steven Bruce, Director of CTR. There were 30 participants who are counselor, psychologist, supervisor, therapist, psychiatrist, and students from the MA program in Clinical Psychology of the Royal University of Phnom Penh joined the training. This two-day refresher course equipped participants with additional evidence-based tools and techniques from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET) to work effectively with their clients with traumatic experiences.
